BOT project - By-pass of Nam Dinh city from Highway No. 10 to My Loc town)

On 10 July 2008, BOT contract for the project on building the by-pass of Nam Dinh city from Highway No. 10 to My Loc town under the project on construction of new Nam Dinh – Phu Ly road was signed between Tasco Company (Investor) and Nam Dinh People’s Committee. Attending the signing ceremony was Mr Tran Minh Oanh, Chairman of Nam Dinh People’s Committee.

On 10 July 2008, BOT contract for the project on building the by-pass of Nam Dinh city from Highway No. 10 to My Loc town under the project on construction of new Nam Dinh – Phu Ly road was signed between Tasco Company (Investor) and Nam Dinh People’s Committee. Attending the signing ceremony was Mr Tran Minh Oanh, Chairman of Nam Dinh People’s Committee.

The length of the main route from Highway No. 10 to My Loc town is 3.9 km with 48 m wide of road base, which is designed in accordance with standard for urban main street with design speed of 80 km/h. The length of branch route of 555m from old Highway 21 to the main route is designed in accordance with III grade plain road standard with design speed of 60 km/h.

The total investment is 378,069,109,000 dongs, in which the State budget used for site clearance is 65 billion dong, 313 billion dongs used for the BOT funds is contributed by the Investor.

The project is scheduled to be commenced in October 2008 and completed within 36 months. Tasco shall collect toll at My Loc Toll station within 21 years and 9 months for return of the capital for the project and make profits for the project.

After the road is put into operation, it shall resolve traffic congestion, reduce traffic accidents on the section from old Highway No. 21 from Nam Dinh – My Loc, and create favorable conditions for the province to attract domestic and foreign investment to make Nam Dinh a economic center of the Red River Delta.

This is also the second BOT project in the year signed by Tasco. In late June, the Company signed BOT project on improvement and upgrade of Highway No. 10 from La Uyen to Tan De Bridge with Vietnam Roads Bureau.
